TSSC Snowboard Program

Grades 2-12

Our snowboard program offers basics and fundamentals, as well as competitive instruction.

 

Program pricing is based upon on-snow training days. Travel training and competition coaching have additional expenses to cover coaches housing/travel. Programs 7th grade+ include dryland Oct – December.

All programs include bonus holiday training (check individual discipline calendars for schedules). Travel programs (4th grade+) include cost of coaching for travel training days, competitions*, and for 7th grade+ pre-season dryland training.

USSA MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED!!

 

All Athletes need to have current USSA Membership, minimum participants level, if your child will be competing they will need a competitors license, and it will be checked.

Grommets (2nd and 3rd Grade)

This program is all about FUN and learning! The emphasis is to challenge the athletes to learn all aspects of the sport in a fun and safe environment, while building a solid set of skills to help them accelerate their riding to a new level. Groups are broken up by skill and ability. Competition is not required, but encouraged. • Snowboard equipment and Helmet are required. • Members of this program must have snowboarding experience and be able to link turns comfortably on blue terrain. • USSA Membership required. Not included in program fees.

  • Saturdays. 2nd Sat, December – 3rd Sat., March 19
  • Plus Ski PE Schedule (5 weeks)
  • Plus 2 Days Holiday Break Bonus Camp – Mondays in December

The Youth program is for kids who are ready to challenge and improve their skills. Our emphasis is to help riders build a solid foundation of fundamentals by introducing them to the various disciplines of the sport. Groups are broken up by skill and ability. Competition is not required, but encouraged. • Snowboard equipment and Helmet are required. • Members of this program must have snowboarding experience and be able to link turns comfortably on blue terrain. • USSA Membership required. Not included in program fees.

Team (7th-12th Grade)

This program is for the recreational snowboarder who wants to improve upon their snowboard skills, as well as the athlete who is preparing for limited competition. Our emphasis is to help riders build a solid foundation of fundamentals by introducing them to the various competition disciplines of the sport. Groups are broken up by skill and ability. Competition is not required, but encouraged. TEAM Coaches’ recommendation is required for the serious competitive athlete who plans on attending local and away competitions. The focus will be on developing competitive snowboard skills with the goal of National Championship Qualification and competing in Regional USSA events. Training will focus on all disciplines and developing advanced snowboard skills through a mix of free riding, park riding, competition training, goal setting and video review. All participants will gain a thorough understanding of competition rules, judging criteria and code of conduct. Members should have prior competition experience • Snowboard equipment and Helmet are required. • Comfortable on blue and black rated terrain. • USSA Membership required. Not included in program fees.
