Freeski Park (Team) Update

Hello Freeski (Park) Families,

We have some exciting changes with the Freeski (Park) program to announce. Freeski and Freestyle will be joining forces this season to provide better cross training and off season training opportunities for our athletes. Dry land training and pre season training camps will be areas that park and mogul athletes will be able to work together. Throughout the season all on hill training will remain discipline specific.

I would also like to introduce Lane Smith as our new Head Coach for the Freeski (Park) program. Lane grew up here in Telluride training for and competing in national level competitions like the US Open and USASA nationals. Lane joined us this past summer for a Park City water ramp camp as well as, a Mt Hood on snow camp. Last season was at the helm of our Big Mountain program. Welcome back Lane!

As Fall sports are winding down we will start offering dry land training. All Freestyle/Freeski athletes are encouraged to attend dry land as their schedules allow. Training dates and times can be found on our calendar, link below:

Upcoming events

-October 26-28th Wolf Creek. Estimated cost for the two nights, two days of skiing, meals and transportation $250. Athletes must be 12yrs of age, or traveling with a sibling that is 12 or older, to travel with the team. Departing after school on Friday (10/26, returning after skiing Sunday.

-October 23rd 3:00-7:00 Jagged Edge Kids ‘ Night, equipment, advice and great deals.

-November 10th Telluride Rail Jam. Event details to follow.

-November 29th Parent meeting 5:30p. TSSC HQ meet coaches, travel schedule/policies.
